Roland TD-07KV V-Drums — Compact Mesh-Head Electronic Drum Kit

Roland's TD-07KV is a five-piece V-Drums kit that brings higher-tier Roland expression into a setup sized for bedrooms and small studios. The configuration pairs the TD-07 module with the KD-10 kick tower, an 8-inch PDX-8 mesh snare, three PDX-6A tom pads, and weight-optimized CY cymbals on a four-post rack. Engineered for quiet operation, this kit lets players practice at any hour. The TD-07KV is the right choice for drummers who want authentic V-Drums feel without the footprint of a full acoustic setup.

What Sets the TD-07KV Apart

Roland introduced the world's first mesh drumhead in 1997, and the TD-07KV ships with the same double-ply mesh design on snare and tom pads. The KD-10 kick tower uses an adaptive playing surface that responds like an acoustic bass drumhead. Onboard Bluetooth 4.2 streams audio and transmits MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy.

TD-07 Sound Module — 143 Sounds and Deep Editing

The TD-07 module packs 143 instruments and 50 kits into a compact, menu-driven interface. Each kit can be shaped with per-pad EQ, an overhead mic simulator, room ambience, and 30 multi-effects types.

• Number of Sounds: 143 — broad palette from acoustic kits to electronic percussion
• Number of Presets: 50 — 25 factory plus 25 user slots
• Effects: — 30 multi-effects, per-pad EQ, overhead mic simulator, room ambience
• Display: 16-character x 2-line LCD with backlight

Authentic Mesh Pads and Rock-Solid Hardware

Tunable double-ply mesh heads across the snare and toms give adjustable tension and natural rebound. The KD-10 kick tower accepts single or double pedals. Weight-optimized CY-8 cymbals swing like acoustic cymbals, while the four-post MDS-Compact rack keeps the footprint small.

• Snare Pad: 8" PDX-8 dual-zone mesh — independent head and rim sensing
• Tom Pads: 3 x 6" PDX-6A single-zone mesh — tunable tension
• Kick Pad: KD-10 kick tower — accepts single or double pedals
• Cymbals & Stand: 10" CY-5 hi-hat, 2 x 12" CY-8 crash/ride on four-post MDS-Compact rack
• Footprint & Weight: 1,230 x 1,100 x 1,200 mm, 21.7 kg

Bluetooth, USB, and Coaching Tools

Onboard Bluetooth 4.2 streams audio from any phone or tablet, while MIDI over Bluetooth Low Energy sends note data to apps. A single USB-B cable turns the module into a 2-channel audio interface and MIDI controller for any DAW. Five coaching modes and a built-in metronome (20–260 BPM) round out the practice toolkit.

• Bluetooth: Ver 4.2 with A2DP audio and MIDI over BLE
• USB: USB-B, 2-channel record/playback at 44.1 kHz
• Metronome: — 20–260 BPM with 5 rhythm types and 15 click sounds
• Coach Modes: 5 modes — Time Check, Quiet Count, Auto Up/Down, Change-Up
• Trigger Input: DB-25

Who Should Buy the Roland TD-07KV

Home drummers, apartment players, and progressing students who need authentic V-Drums feel in a quiet, compact package will find the TD-07KV a compelling match. Beginners benefit from coaching modes and Bluetooth play-along, while experienced players appreciate deep sound editing and the USB audio interface for studio work. Acoustic drummers seeking a quiet late-night setup will find the mesh heads and KD-10 kick tower deliver a convincingly acoustic response. Note: no kick pedal or drum throne included.

Roland V-Drums — Over Two Decades of Electronic Drum Innovation

Roland launched the world's first mesh drumhead in 1997, and V-Drums have been the de facto standard in electronic percussion ever since. The TD-07KV carries forward that legacy, drawing on technology from Roland's flagship TD-50 module. Players stepping up from entry-level kits will notice the difference in pad response.
